A small round sanding head spins gently against the nail edge and wears it down, the same way a nail file does, only faster and steadier. Hold the baby's finger, touch the pad to the nail for a few seconds, move on to the next one. Ten nails take about two minutes.

The box has four heads that click onto the same unit.
